A bright spot in my morning routine. The doughnuts are very good, and there is a good variety to choose from. Rock Springs is not a town known for consistently good service in it's stores, mini marts or restaurants. Cowboy's is an exception to this. The staff is always very friendly and efficient. Management is obviously doing something right.

I don't normally like donuts, but these are great! They also have Kolaches, which are a must have! The drip coffee is pretty good as well. The staff is friendly, you get fast service, and the food is fresh. My family enjoys this place very much when they come to visit!

I came for the Kolaches... they are every bit gourmet pigs in a blankets. The sausage and jalapeño were so buttery and delicious, I had to order a few more!

Just driving by and spotted the donut shop while looking for a restroom, actually. Decided a cup of coffee and a donut sounded good, so stopped and went in. Was pleasantly surprised to see a "Food Network" sign on the door as I entered. The smell was amazing. Immaculately clean, friendly service, delicious coffee and marvelously fresh donuts. Was superb. Was going to stay a while and sit and enjoy one of their tables (and the smell), but was called away before I could ask about Wi-Fi there. If they have it, this place is a much better (and cheaper) option to the Starbuck's just down the street. YUMM!

Pretty good donuts. My all-time favorite donut is the apple fritter; it is hard to make a good apple fritter and it is a good gauge of donut-making skill. Their apple fritter at Cowboy's was a 4 on a scale of 1-5. Good size, fresh, not dry, good amount of glaze, but they used more like a thick apple sauce for the "apple" instead of nice chunks of apple, which would have made the apple fritter a 5. We also tried 5 other types of their donuts in a mixed box. Everything was fresh and substantial. Nothing was super-stellar, but all was pretty good and the price was reasonable. Their location was easy to find, right off the freeway on a major road, Dewar Dr.. Store was clean and new. It isn't a destination place for breakfast, but a good stop-n-go for donuts.

I LOVE COWBOY DONUTS! The very best donuts I have ever tasted. I always buy a sausage and cheese kolache as well because they are super tasty and addicting. The staff is always very friendly. My only complaint was when the National High School Rodeo Finals was in town they ran out of most donuts by 8 a.m. Next year please please please make extras when they are in town. Donuts are so amazing I wasn't even mad after my first bite.

A good donut shop is hard to find in today's convenience store culture. All of those unique donut and pastry shops have been replaced by 7-11's and multi-national coffee chains. Just when you think you have no choice in breakfast pastries you find a place like Cowboy Donuts to prove there's still hope in this multi unit culture we live in. Cowboy Donuts is located right off the main Dewar Dr. drag in Rock Springs. When you walk inside its you're surrounded by the unmistakable donut shop smell. There's no centralized off site kitchens in this operation, all the donuts are made right there behind the counter. They open early at 5am and as you'd expect the fancier specialty donuts go fast so get there early. And while their specialty donuts are awesome, lets be honest the mark of a good donut shop is the original glazed donut. If they can't make a melt in your mouth Glazed its not worth venturing to the other types. Let me tell you, the Glazed Donut that i bought 3 of (a few mornings in a row) was amazing! It was done just right to where it melted in your mouth with every bite. It wasn't tough and overdone like so many gas station donuts are and the glaze was just right. If donuts aren't your thing then you're in luck, Cowboy Donuts had a great selection of Kolaches. There were small ones, large ones, cheesy ones and spicy ones. Basically if you like sausage wrapped in bread they have a kolache for you. I had them warm mine up in the microwave and they were just awesome. If you're getting donuts, just get one kolache even if you weren't planning to. You'll never leave with just one after that. Just want a a coffee? There was a good selection of coffees to choose from too. They were all self serve. Throw in the tables and the TV they had and you could just sit in there all morning reading the paper, eating and drinking coffee. The prices are very affordable too, so don't just get one, get a dozen! I know the next time I'm in Rock Springs I will swing by here in the morning for a great cup of coffee, donut and a kolache... or maybe a dozen of each!

I walked into Cowboy Donuts just before I was about to start my third day of driving cross country. After many days of eating roadtrip food (aka McDonald's and the like) I was determined to just get coffee and not have a donut. After I ordered "just a coffee" I received several curious looks from the staff, indicating that I was crazy to not have a donut. Thankfully one of the staff suggested that I try the blueberry donut, it was morning after all and god knows I need my anti-oxidants. I thoroughly enjoyed the donut and the coffee selection was decent. All in all Cowboy Donuts fueled me up and afterwards I kicked my spurs into the Ford SUV I had rented and safely drove another six hours that day.

A terrific surprise we found in this little donut shop traveling back from Yellowstone last week. Diverse selection of finely-crafted pastries. All of the donuts looked tasty and tasted fresh - no week-old nuts that had been sitting out drying for days. Coffee was also much better than I'd expected at a donut shop in Rock Springs with a good selection of morning brews. Check it out if you're passing through the area and need a tasty treat and good coffee before heading back on the highway!

We were hoping this was more of an espresso/coffee bar type of place. It was more of a plain cup of joe and grab a donut kind if place. The decor was pretty cute with the whole cowboy theme. After eating our donut it was like any other donut experience, nothing too exciting (but then again I'm not really much of a donut person). It was a cute little place to stop on our road trip, a nice change from Starbucks...I just wished they had a little more selection with their coffee. They had run out of fresh brewed coffee, and we had to wait for a fresh pot to brew. I was a little annoyed at this considering they only served brew coffee. Oh well, at least it was fresh and tasted pretty good after the wait.
